I am by no means a wine snob. I’m more of a ‘I’ll give anything a try once’ kind of gal, unless it comes to boxed wine. The only boxed wine I’ve purchased and loved so far is Black Box wines. For some reason when I think of boxed wines I think of sangria, but Black Box wines are higher quality than average box wines, are a lower price point, and of course being portable makes them perfect for pot lucks and summer entertaining.
So, if you are entertaining this summer I’ve put together a few wine, appetizer and cheese pairing ideas for you.
If you are heading to a potluck you can take a box of wine along with the appetizer, or cheese that pairs perfectly with it. Or, host a wine, cheese and appetizer tasting at home.
WINE PAIRING 1: Cabernet Savignon
- Appetizer: Spinach and artichoke dip served with bread
- Cheese: Sharp white cheddar, served with crackers and bread
WINE PAIRING 2: Chardonnay
- Appetizer: Bacon wrapped chicken with Chardonnay sauce
- Cheese: Brie, served with crackers and bread
WINE PAIRING 3: Merlot
- Appetizer: Grilled steak served with bread, Swiss cheese and horseradish sauce
- Cheese: Aged Gouda, served with crackers and bread
WINE PAIRING 4: Pinot Noir
- Appetizer: White Pizza
- Cheese: Swiss , served with crackers and bread

This looks like such an elegant party plan! I love the idea of doing an in home wine tasting and it looks like there’s enough food and wine to feed a whole crowd! #client
