Whether you are studying insects or you have a bee themed classroom, we have fun ideas for decorating your classroom door and library.

Spring is in the air and we have just started our insect unit in the classroom. This means switching our decor out to reflect what we will be learning about. Last year though, I created these fun bee themed door and library spaces because our classroom was bee themed for the whole year; I switched them out to reflect the season instead of the study unit.

Bee theme classroom door
This was the door that we started with at the beginning of the year in August. We were heading into our tree study unit and the sunflowers looked so pretty outdoors that I decided to bring them inside too.
As we got closer to winter, I wanted to create a warm cozy environment. So the bees were given little beanies to wear and they toasted marshmallows inside the hive.
To wrap up the school year, I switched our classroom door to a spring them with pretty flowers and a green tree.
Bee theme classroom library center
For spring, I paired our bee-themed classroom door with a library center wall too. I added more insects to this one though because we were studying a garden and insect unit.
Bee theme classroom home center
To pair with our spring door and library center I decided to come up with a theme for our home center too. We called it The Hive Cafe. I made a backdrop for the table and chairs, as if they were looking out a window. Then I created menu and order forms using Canva.
